2.2  ASVAB Career Exploration Program: Matching Students With Ideal Career Choices-

This workshop is designed to give educators of students 10th grade – age 23 an overview of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP).   The ASVAB CEP has two parts: A three hour skills assessment of Math, English, Science, and Technology and a workshop interpretation of assessment results, an interest inventory matching students with the Holland Code Career Model, and exploration of real-world jobs relevant to students’ skills, interests, and values.  Over 4,000 students in Maine benefit from this program each school year, free of charge.  Join us to learn more or hear about exciting new updates to the program this year. 

Jennifer Kennedy, an Education Service Specialist with an M.S. in Educational Counseling, is also certified to practice K-12 School counseling in the states of Maine and California.  She is an active member of multiple state and national organizations to include: American School Counseling Association, the Maine School Counselors Association, the National Education Association, the Maine Counseling Association, the Maine Career Development Association, and Character Counts!©.  Previous to working with the ASVAB program she worked as an academic and career counselor at the college, high school, and middle school level for nine years.  Through her current role as the Regional Director of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program, she performs career workshops for approximately 4,000 high school students in the states of Maine and New Hampshire each school year.
