1.2 Local Employment Dynamics: Data to Steer Career Decisions

LED is a partnership between the Census Bureau and the states which provides online information about the dynamics of the labor market at local levels including workforce characteristics, top industries, and worker earnings.  This workshop provides training in the use of the three LED online tools:  OnTheMap, Industry Focus and QWI Online.

Dorothy Paugh has focused almost exclusively on presenting the trio of Local Employment Dynamics data tools to new audiences since joining the U. S. Census Bureau as a Training Specialist in April of 2006.  She worked as a State of Maryland employee for ten years.  A retired Naval officer, Dorothy holds a Master of Arts degree from the Naval War College in National Security and Strategic Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Mount Saint Mary’s College.
