Preparing today’s students for tomorrow’s choices means that learning in the K-12 classroom should be connected to career and college information. This session includes information to help students understand choices for meaningful post-secondary decisions.

Focus will be on ways that participants can help prepare students for choices:

  • Participants will learn about “all aspects of businesses” and how this information helps students understand post-secondary choices and career mobility.
  • Does college really mean success and more money? Is there too much promoting “college for all?”
  • What are we doing to “prepare” students for college and the choices it represents? Participants will be introduced to common mistakes students make and the vocabulary they need to navigate their choices.
  • Participants will understand employability skills and how they transfer to college classrooms and the world of work.
